Summer Lookbook Bohemian Pastel-Goth Alternative fashion inspired

Summer is upon us so lets celebrate the warmth of the sunshine and the sting of the after burn with a stylish start to this season. So here are some oh so very bright looks that'll definitely catch the eye of everyone around, so put your sunglasses on cause you're about to witness a hell of a sight. If you want to see how these outfits flow and sway in motion then click the link for the video on my YouTube channel avril vanes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaaiWJ5zutw

Garden of Thorns: taking a risk to be surrounded by pretty roses even if it means getting pricked by their viciously sharp thorns. It's a beautifully piercing experience.

In this outfit, I'm wearing a short floral dress with cut-outs (Primark) and under it I have on a blue lace top (Primark) which ties in with the colors of the flowers on the dress. For Shoes I have on blue ballerina flats (Primark) which is also the color of some flowers on the dress.
Tip: If you are wearing a bold dress with screaming colors and/or patterns then go for solid metallic jewellery that is either gold, silver or gold-rose.
For jewellery, I have on a silver spiked  necklace (Boutique) and a matching silver spiked bracelet (Republic). For rings, I'm wearing on one hand: a silver wing ring (Claire's), a silver ring with a green gem (Boutique) and an owl silver ring (Claire's). On the other hand, I have a silver leaf ring (Primark) and I'm wearing a silver ear cuff   (Primark) as a ring with a leaf hanging from it as a mid-finger-ring.

Floral Royal: the queen of hearts is sweeter than you think!

In this look, I'm wearing a coral-raspberry floral lace top (Boutique) and under it is a lilac crop top (Republic). I've got on a purple lace skirt (Primark) and for shoes I have on a pair of black ballerina flats (Primark) with laser cut-outs and rhinestones that reflect the color of the lace top.
Tip: when in doubt go for a black shoe as you can never go wrong with a neutral color like black.
For jewellery, I have on a red-purple chocker with a heart pendant which I DIY'ed. I also have on a flower crown that I DIY'ed and a pair of purple crystal earrings (Debenhams).

Greek Goddess: immortality is a belief that only a few can make it real.

For this look, I wore a flowy white top with splashes of baby blue and hints of lilac (Boutique) which I dyed and the top has a beautiful lace trim. I also wore a creamy-grey lace skirt (H&M) and a pair of blue ballerina flats (Primark).
Tip: dyeing your stained clothes is a great way of reviving them and giving them a  new life.
For jewellery, I wore a silver cuff with a cross cut-out (Republic), a bunch of silver beaded bracelets (Primark) and a silver bracelet with pastel blue beads. I also wore a silver necklace with silver coins (Primark) and silver earrings (Primark).

Classically Trendy: simplicity is complicated and being trendy is always dated.

In this look, I wore a white and navy blue striped top with a heart-neckline (Primark) and a matching skirt with wider stripes and large silver buttons at the front of the skirt (Republic). I also wore a grey and navy blue striped wide rim summer hat and a pair of blue ballerina flats.
Tip: wearing a summer hat with a large rim is not just a great accessory but a beneficial way of protecting yourself from the sun harmful rays as well as making it easier for you to see.
For jewellery, I kept it simple due to the bold stripes pattern all across this look, with a striped chocker with silver safety pins as a pendant which I DIY'ed.

Best androgynous models of all time

Gender is no longer a limiting factor in fashion but a factor that makes runway shows that more fascinating and intriguing. Androgyny adds magic and mystery to the catwalk by breaking the boundaries and making us question what it is that defines beauty and gender. So lets go down the list of these iconic androgynous models that thrill and amaze us in every fashion show, photo shoot and billboard.

Andreja Pejic

Andreja (previously known as Andrej) with her signature platinum hair, killer eyebrows, mole and strong jawline is the most famous and successful androgynous model of all time. Previously, as a male ''Andrej'' walked in both menswear and woman-wear runways before transitioning into a woman. Now, as a trans-woman she is the face of Make Up For Ever and her modelling career is ever so flourishing.

Erika Linder, has the eyes of Leonardo Dicaprio and the cheekbones of River Phoenix. She is an androgynous model who's career peeked after starring in Katy Perry's lyrical music video for unconditionally. In the video, Erika tells a story not with words but with her facial expressions, that's a language that only a few lucky ones can master and she is one of them without a doubt. Erika has the power of making one feel so many different emotions just by a glance at a photo of hers. The truth of the matter is that she is able to make an almost supernatural connection with the person through her photos.
Erika Linder was previously in a relationship with Andrej Pejic, but currently she is in a relationship with Katy Perry's personal assistant Tamra.

Ruby Rose

Ruby Rose has become a heartthrob amongst the ladies after starring in Orange Is The New Black as Stella Carlin. This Australian androgynous model is charmingly beautiful with her tomboyish-rocker-hip style. She works the tomboy look to perfection with the contrast of her feminine facial features and boyish haircuts and clothing style. If Leonardo Dicaprio and Angelina Jolie had a love child, it would be embodied as Ruby rose for sure. From her strong prominent chin and strong jawline to her perfectly plump lips and tiny nose that have Angelina Jolie written all over them, to her piercing eyes that scream Leonardo Dicaprio, Ruby rose's beauty is transcendent and undeniable. By one glance at a picture of her and one is immediately and evidently infatuated with her.

Elliott Sailors

Elliott Sailors is a female that models menswear clothing. Elliott's husband was one of her supporters when she decided to chop and shave her hair to become a menswear model due to her masculine facial features of a strong jawline, large prominent forehead and rectangular shaped head. She embodies the character of a man naturally and smoothly making it that more believable.
Who is your androgynous model of choice?
